Blue Sun Tanning & Spa was born out of a dream and some tough pandemic circumstances.

Jessica has worked in the tanning and spa industry since 2004 and was a customer long before then. While managing a store, it became #1 in the country for Formostar sessions and Jessica became a sought-after trainer to salons nation-wide. Jessica wanted to own her own store but recessions, health challenges and other life setbacks seemed to keep that dream far away.

At the beginning of 2020, she moved to Kamas in Wasatch County to be closer to work. Two months later, the pandemic caused businesses to shut down. After many months on unemployment and few job market opportunities, Jessica decided to take the exciting but frightening chance and open her own store. It took six long months, numerous set-backs and lots of help from friends and family, but finally, Blue Sun Tanning & Spa opened its doors in Heber City, Utah on January 25, 2021.

In February 2024, Jessica once again took a leap of faith to open a second location in Park City, Utah in the midst of a growing Heber City location and national economic uncertainty. She was so excited to reconnect with customers she had once helped as an employee many years before. In 44 short days, she and her amazing group of friends, family, and sub-contracters reimagined a long-time tanning space into her vision of a wellness oasis.

Jessica wants to offer a huge THANK YOU to many new friends in Heber Valley and many old and new friends in Summit County! She is thrilled to live and serve the people of the Wasatch Back. You have helped make Blue Sun Tanning & Spa a success and the realization of a life-long dream!
